Recognizing the importance of quality in Pharmaceuticals, Pharmathen has made important investments in the orderly and efficient functioning of its fully equipped Quality Control Laboratories (Analytical and Microbiological, too).
These laboratories are manned with scientists and specially trained analysts, whose training is constantly enriched through series of seminars. This personnel has been employed on a basis of strict criteria. The main concern of the Quality Control Department to control the active and inactive materials as well as the control of production of pharmaceuticals throughout the production process.
More specifically, the structure of the Quality Control is made of three departments: The Chemical Laboratory which is responsible for the chemical control of raw materials, packaging materials , bulk products and finished products, stability data, retest samples analysis for other companies, the Microbiological Department which is responsible for the microbiological analysis of all the previous activities of the Chemical lab and the Warehouse Department which is responsible for the storage of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and final products.
A great amount of money has been allocated, particularly during the few last years, for the upgrading of the existing equipment in view to obtain precise and reliable results. Consequently, 5 units of liquid chromatography, 2 units of gas chromatography and other specialized equipment are fully functioning. Moreover, the intention of the company is to provide any equipment that might be necessary for the perfect functioning of its lab.
The emphasis of the Quality Control on the maintenance of high standards according to GLP requirements is the main reason for repeated success in all the frequent audits by well known pharmaceuticals companies from abroad, as well as qualified state organizations. Combined with our contribution to the public health, it is this success that is the greatest reward for all of us. |
