This activity regards the development of innovative methods of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for the use in Generic products whilst the processes for the synthesis of innovative pharmaceutical ingredients are developed as well.

The autonomous API Research Centre (Pharmathen Industrial) is already operating in Thessaloniki. It consists of an R & D laboratory for synthesis of APIs, an analytical and stability testing laboratory, as well as, a kilo laboratory for scaling up research productions up to kilo range.

The laboratories are outfitted with the most technologically advanced equipment and they have the capability of developing a variety of complex methods of synthesis, as well as, analysis and characterization.

The activity focuses on applied technological research and along with the accomplished co-operations with Universities and Institutes is assured the participation at a level of basic research.
